- Tongkonan panglisuan aluk iamo tu dinai ungkombongan ada’ kabiasan lan Talion tu tipa’annan bua’ ba’tu rukun kampung iamo tu bua’ Kolean, bua’ Tarrung, bua’ Kande api, bua’ Leppan, bua’ Sarong, sola bua’ Kalembang.
- Tongkonan unnindo’ sumalunna lombok mentiara’na rante kalua’, iamo tu banua dinii umpogau’ kapemalaran ungkurresumanga’i tu diona : tallu bulinna, ma’lolo tau, na mellolo rangka’na sola menta’bi tarunona.

Although Gonggang ri Sado’ko’ is a powerful human being, he still has shortcomings because he does not have a wife as his life companion. This desire is always disturbing in his sleep, but what power does anyone have as a place to express his desires. He longed for the presence of a wife who accompanied him every day.
At one point, Gonggang ri Sado’ko’ got a hunch that in a valley in the river basin of Sa’dan there was an area called Lo’ko’ Sumbing. There lived a queen who reigned in Liku, a kingdom in the water. The queen’s title is Marrin di Liku, meaning Marrin is in power and enthroned in Liku.
Marrin di Liku is the same as Gonggang, who doesn’t have a mate yet, jokes and jokes in her life. So, Gonggang who lives on land and Marrin di Liku who lives in water, both of them will have the same fate and will die without children. Both want caresses of love from the opposite sex, however… how come…
Every afternoon, Gonggang descends from Mount Sado’ko’ to go to the Todoyang hill, a high place, which is the dividing between Mount Sado’ko’ and Liku where the Queen resides. From this hill Gonggang turned his gaze to the Liku which was far below, which was full of awesomeness with the bustling of the river Sa’dan its decoration.
Marrin di Liku who lives in Liku has an infinite wealth of antique collections in the form of golden keris, kandaure, lola’, and sa’pi’ as well as other objects whose imitations are now widely owned by the Toraja nobles.
It is said that at that time if there was someone who would hold a ceremony like ma’bua’ then the queen always lent these items. This item is sometimes borrowed for a long time because there is a strong mutual trust at that time.
However, that way, humans sometimes have bad thoughts so what they borrow wants to be their property forever. One time there was someone who did not return what he borrowed to the queen. Months and years passed but the borrower never appeared, then the queen was furious and reluctant to lend her things again. And, apparently without the borrower’s knowledge, the items will return automatically to the queen. So the queen is indeed a powerful person.
Through a hunch that always haunts him, unconsciously Gonggang has fallen in love with the beautiful queen. His mind wandered far into the blue sky, then down to the Twists where the Queen resides alone.
On the hill Todoyang every afternoon, Gonggang with his mouth muttering incantations, saying prayers in front of the Creator, so that the Queen may appear even if only for a moment, to just bidders longing for their hearts that have been carried by romance. With a burning passion, he is principled and determined, will not shift from where he sat cast his views, before his ideals are achieved.
The same thing happened to the Queen, loneliness haunted her, and through a premonition she also learned that in Mount Sado’ko’ there was a handsome virgin longing and wanted to make her his wife.
The spell that had been chanted many times by Gonggang apparently did not work, so he was restless and finally slept in his seat. In that sleep, he dreamed of hearing a faint whispering voice that the queen returned his love, and would only appear on the surface of the water when worship was held on the edge of Liku. This faint sound still hung in his ears then Gonggang gasped and woke up from his sleep. His eyes were rubbed over and over again then he glanced at Liku and then walked back to Sado’ko’ Mountain to prepare everything needed for the worship ceremony.
Circulation of the moon and stars is carefully calculated, until the day that is considered appropriate, he immediately headed to Liku in Lo’ko’ Sumbing carried all his equipment. An extraordinary thing happened and beyond human reason now, when Gonggang while carrying out his worship, appeared on the surface of the water a goddess resembles a human, smiling sweetly and. . . as fast as lightning Gonggang ambushed and immediately held the Queen’s hand and carried her and took her home to Sado’ko’. So, Gonggang’s ideals have been achieved. Live both lovingly.
With all the capabilities available to him Gonggang built a house in Talion, right on the slopes of Mount Sado’ko’. They have been there for years, but have not had children. In accordance with the custom in Toraja that if a husband and wife do not have children, they will seek their fortune elsewhere.
Both of them left the old place and then moved to Pangasan. At certain times there he held a worship ceremony to pray before the Creator by presenting among others :
Betel leaf that meets its veins, areca nut that is pithy, clean white betel lime, and flawless chicken. While standing, Gonggang said a prayer :
O Lord, in the Most High place
God exclaims all of nature
God who dwells in the seventh heaven
God who dwells in the Most High place
Please let it down
Come down with a radiant face
Come and sit on this mat
In this place provided
O Lord, eat the betel with boned leaves
Betel nut is full of contents, with beautiful whitened limestone

Yes, if God has eaten betel
If the lips and mouth have turned redGive abundant harvests
Give the chicken breed a breed
Give the pig breed a breed
Give breed buffaloes to breed
Give everything you want
Give it the highlight of everything

So that it becomes a big family
O Lord, in the Most High place
O Lord, exclaim all the nature

Long live in this place.
However, that is how the Creator has not been pleased, repeated efforts and prayers from Gonggang and Marrin have not yet been answered.
Throughout the day Marrin fulfilled his duties as a wife, while Gonggang routinely circled the vast forest at the foot of Mount Sado’ko’ to control his buffalo that was proliferating.
At one point he arrived at a rather flat place on the edge of the river Neang, a river that originated from Mount Sado’ko’. For just a place to rest, Gonggang made a “korang” (high hut) in that place, which until now the flat land had been made into a rice field called Korang. Near Korang on the edge of the river Neang, there is a salty spring (Kanan), a gathering place for the Gonggang buffalo during the hot sun while drinking as much as possible.
At this place Gonggang held a “massambe’ tedong” ceremony (thanksgiving ceremony because the buffalo had proliferated) using “billa’ ” (slaughter) to slice chicken meat as offerings, and until now the place is called Kanan Billa’.
That’s the story … a powerful ruler, has a legacy of ancestral messages, but he still tries to get a child as a successor generation. Whatever it means to have hundreds of buffalo, if no one will inherit it, it will be useless. While seated, Gonggang closed his eyes, his mind soaring high into the sky, finally he seemed to be in the seventh heaven, on the court of the Creator’s throne.
He prostrated with all his surrender in the hope that his goals will be achieved. In his surrender to the Creator, Gonggang felt as if there was an order to move his house from Pangasan to Kapesso’, a place not far from Korang and Kanan Billa’. Gonggang realized that this was an order from the Creator, and who knows that in this new place a prayer that he had always longed for with his wife Marrin di Liku was granted.
Move Gonggang with his wife to Kapesso’, and in this new place, he still holds the principle that whoever knocks at the door will surely be opened, whoever begs with all sincerity will surely come true. And sure enough … at Kapesso’, Gonggang and his wife got the gift of a beautiful and handsome son and daughter.
His daughter, Lola’, married and made a house in Surakan, which until now has become a “Tongkonan” house. His son, named Pauang, married and built a house in Limbong not far from Kapesso’, which until now is a “Tongkonan Layuk”, a traditional house with a high status with functions including :
- Tongkonan panglisuan aluk, which is a place to deliberate and decide on customary laws that apply in Talion Village today, which includes six Bua’ (villages), namely: Bua’ Kolean, Bua’ Tarrung, Bua’ Kandeapi, Bua’ Leppan, bua’ Sarong, and bua’ Kalembang.
